So lightning has returned once again!final fantasy lightning returns has now taken a "end of days" role where you as the "Saviour" must save the souls of people within 13 days.
Final fantasy 13 started off very linier and only became open near the end of the game (last boss was not fun to beat), but since then we have seen Sarah and noel travel time to one day meet lightning, finally lightning has "Returned" to a more open and eye pleasing environment.
The battle system is still ATB based (turn based attacks) but instead of levelling up crystals you now have Schemata which uses certain features from another final fantasy game.
garments:
As we know FFX-2 was the first game to use these garment battle features where Yuna changed from pop star singer to Battle Mage, now the main difference with lightning returns is that Garments mainly increase attack or defence (you can have up to four moves in total on each garment and some moves do come with them).
word of warning:
do not take this game for a simple run through and beat the boss game (i did ) i have found this game a good challenge to my RPG nature and I am having a lot of fun with it.
Square enix have down an amazing job at keeping the story together along with character plots and how the world has changed from the original FF13
